Dear Friends, Families, and Community Partners,

As President of California Families in Focus, I want to personally thank each and every one of you for your incredible support and enthusiasm for our upcoming Hoops & Heroes 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. Your dedication to empowering youth and uplifting our communities is the heartbeat of our mission.

After thoughtful consideration, we have decided to postpone the tournament to a future date to ensure it is everything our young athletes, families, and heroes deserve. We are committed to delivering a high-energy, community-centered event that truly reflects the spirit of unity, mentorship, and empowerment—and we promise it will be worth the wait!

But the good news? We’re still bringing the HEAT to the court!

We are proud to announce that our Youth Basketball Clinic will still take place as scheduled, in partnership with the phenomenal CSULB Women’s Basketball Team! This clinic is a golden opportunity for Long Beach youth to sharpen their skills, connect with positive role models, and experience the power of teamwork and leadership firsthand.

We are beyond excited to bring both of these incredible experiences to life—and to celebrate the strength, talent, and resilience of our youth and community heroes.
